Timmy Woods Toulouse handbag

Timmy Woods of Beverly Hills was launched in 1992 by  artist designer and entrepreneur Timmy Woods. The line focuses on innovative designs that appeal to women with a wide range of interests. All items are sculpted by hand  (many in the Phillipines) from fallen acacia trees,  lined with silky bengaline, and have tucked in satin rope handles for shoulder wear unless otherwise specified. Her bags have been seen in highly acclaimed citcoms and sported by many in the entertainment world.  For each tree used two are replanted in their place. Each bag takes 30 or more days to complete. These bags are collected both for personal use or as visual collectibles. Most of these pretties  are very limited in space with small openings for perhaps a cell phone, keys , lipstick and a small wallet.

While her theme bags are eye catching, being a lover of the natural woods my fancy lies with her sculpted and lacquered natural woodgrain bags. I have given you a photo of the woodgrain in this beautiful piece of art to wear so you can enjoy the depth & dimension via virtual image.  It has fabulous aesthetic appeal. the bag measures 8.5" W x 6" T x 3.25" D. While most of Timmy Woods bags are not known for carrying capacity this one is relatively nice size to carry for the day. It closes with an elastic black cord (mimics the handle) which fastens over the brass button on top followed by a large tigereye bead and a silky  5.5" black tassle. The interior is lined with a zippered pocket.The handle crafted in tigereye & black acrylic beads over an extraordinarily heavy wire rises 3.75" above the top of the bag. There is also a  black cord (which can be tucked into the bag at will hangs approx. 22" from the top of the bag.
