This is the second Maru I have been able to secure for sale. The first one sold almost immediately. She is natural highly lacquered chatoyant & beautifully patterned acacia wood perked up with a colorful leather fold over "leaf" that conceals the magnetic closure. The bag is 8 x 5 x 3.5. As with all of Timmy's collectible bags the majority of the bag is wood and is limited in carrying capacity. The interior is lined in black bengaline silk & there is a zipper pocket. There is a 24" leather strap that can be used for over the shoulder wear if you wish or carry as a clutch.

Timmy Woods of Beverly Hills was launched in 1992 by artist designer and entrepreneur Timmy Woods. The line focuses on innovative designs that appeal to women with a wide range of interests. All items are sculpted by hand (many in the Phillipines) from fallen acacia trees, lined with silky bengaline, and have tucked in satin rope handles for shoulder wear unless otherwise specified. Her bags have been seen in highly acclaimed citcoms and sported by many in the entertainment world. For each tree used two are replanted in their place. Each bag takes 30 or more days to complete. These bags are collected both for personal use or as visual collectibles. Most of these pretties are very limited in space with small openings for perhaps a cell phone, keys , lipstick and a small wallet.
