This FABULOUS slice of wearable art has been titled "SAFFRON". She is one of my favorites. She is created with rich ,chatoyant natural carved acacia wood and stamped creamy butter suede with a subtle soft rose & silver floral print. She stands 4.5" tall, is 9" wide and 3.5" deep. She is carried with a faceted jasper beaded handle that rises 3.5" from the top of the bag. Saffron closes with a bright finished brass TW inscribed fold over clasp. She is lined in cocoa & has a slip pocket. For hands free wear there is also a tuckable shoulder strap that is designed in a rolled suede that matches the exterior. She is lined in black bengaline silk and has a zipper pocket. Includes a dust bag for storage. Estes has more room than many of her bags.
Timmy Woods of Beverly Hills was launched in 1992 by artist designer and entrepreneur Timmy Woods. The line focuses on innovative designs that appeal to women with a wide range of interests. All items are sculpted by hand (many in the Phillipines) from fallen acacia trees, lined with silky bengaline, and have tucked in satin rope handles for shoulder wear unless otherwise specified. Her bags have been seen in highly acclaimed citcoms and sported by many in the entertainment world. For each tree used two are replanted in their place. Each bag takes 30 or more days to complete. These bags are collected both for personal use or as visual collectibles. Most of these pretties are very limited in space with small openings for perhaps a cell phone, keys , lipstick and a small wallet.
